Aims and Scope
Twice every twelve months, the Journal aims to publish an issue containing excellent undergraduate research in any area of linguistics. As a general linguistics journal, the extent of the questions considerable for publication is broad; submissions not sufficiently pertaining to linguistics (i.e., those not attempting to answer questions about language) are not within the scope of JoULAB.
More broadly, as a Subcommittee of the Undergraduate Linguistics Association of Britain, JoULAB aims to showcase undergraduate research in linguistics from all corners of the globe. Our overarching goal is to provide opportunities to undergraduate linguists - this includes offering a (gentle) introduction to academic publishing, a chance to have research thoroughly reviewed by two expert doctoral students who provide useful insights and helpful comments, and the possibility of being published!
